Kehilat Food Pantry is run 100% on volunteers. Our team reflects the diverse community in Queens, coming from many cultures, ethnicities, and faiths. We unite to serve those in need & welcome you to join our wonderful team.

Our volunteers assist with…

Our volunteers connect with the clients whom they serve and send them home with food and a smile.  We are truly blessed to have amazing volunteers helping out in all aspects of our pantry’s operations. We invite you to join us as a volunteer.

FOR INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS:

  1. Create an account using this link to register via our volunteer site, Hunger Free America.

  2. Sign up for DISTRIBUTION shifts for any of the days/times that interest you. *

*Interested in volunteering your skills as an Admin Volunteer? Email Admin@kehilatpantry.org with your name, resume, and area of interest (Graphic Design, Social Media, General Support Etc.)

3. Upon arrival for your shift, check in with a staff member at the door for directions on where to start. Then, go inside to log your hours at the kiosk.

FOR GROUP VOLUNTEERS:

  1. Fill out this form. *

  2. Prior to your first service date, instructions will be emailed to your group leader

    • Note: Groups are not registered with Hunger Free America (HFA), so please come together as a group, not individually.

  3. At the beginning of your shift, CHECK-IN at registration and a staff member will guide you on your tasks for the day.

  • Note: Group Volunteering is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
